A family of devices aimed at system integrators and large end users requiring state of the art technology solutions for POS and other retail applications. The base system incorporates an open platform design that allows for ease of customization at both the hardware and software levels. Developers can deploy state-of-the-art applications using either CE.5.0 or Linux.

The system can be configured to use most types of card types such as magnetic stripe, and smart cards both contact and contactless. Provision for multiple SAM's ensures that all cards worldwide can be used with TopDesk.

The wide range of communication options allows developers and users to design systems utilizing today's most cost-effective connectivity options including, Voice over IP (VoIP), wireless network and Ethernet.

The universal issue of transaction fraud is addressed in many ways. The patent pending “flip” touch screen allows users to enter their own PIN # and their signature while retaining their card. State of the art biometric identification, visual security and encryption are used to protect the transaction.

Multiple interface options allow TopDesk to be easily configured as a POS system by connecting standard devices such as cash drawers, OCR readers, scales, printers, etc.

TopDesk also achieves effective use of space with its small physical footprint and the ability to use the embedded, multi-function capabilities to minimize the number of separate devices in the user's work area.

Always UP technology ensures that the displayed data view by the user is independent of the physical orientation of the unit. For example, if TopNote is turned 90 degrees the displayed data also turns 90 degrees.
This feature is particularly useful in applications requiring a portrait image or even a mix of portrait and landscape views by simply physically reorientating the unit to the desiered perspective
.
